Dr. Witt is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Educational Policy Studies and Practice as a part of the Research on Educational Equity and Diversity in STEM (REEDS) postdoctoral fellowship program. As a member of this cohort of REEDS scholars, Dr. Witt will primarily conduct research related to Project FAMILIA - Dual Enrollment and Project Evaluation with Dr. Guadalupe Lozano.  
 
Prior to earning his masters in pure mathematics and PhD in mathematics education from Western Michigan University, Dr. Witt earned his bachelor's in mathematics education from Illinois State University and taught middle and high school mathematics in Chicago and Kalamazoo, Michigan.
 
His research interests are grounded in taking a resource-based perspective to studying mathematical knowledge and learning as well as studying mathematics teachers' learning related to integrating technology and culturally relevant contexts into their curriculum.
